Long by 4 inches like any other of the canoes of the Manini * selection, and enclosed in an open-ended acrylic surround, the IOSEPA is a small, very cute replication of the full-scale vessel. The IOSEPA “nui” * is a double-hulled voyaging canoe built by master carvers Sione Tuine Pulotu and Kawika Eskaran.

The construction was a collaboration effort between BYU-HAWAII and the POLYNESIAN CULTURAL CENTER, Lai’e, Hawaii.
