WA'A MOANA

When I learned that I would be taking my grandson to see "WA'A MOANA," my excitement matched his anticipation. However, my enthusiasm stemmed from a different reason. The film featured a Fijian outrigger canoe, a type of sailing vessel for which I had been commissioned to construct a scale model. I successfully completed this model in September 2021. It’s worth noting that the cartoon-style canoe featured in "MOANA" closely resembles the Fijian Kamakau. This particular type of outrigger canoe is widely regarded as one of the most exceptional designs ever created. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to produce a scale model of such an impressive vessel.
